The 2015 Toyota Camry finite element model is based on a validated model of a 2012 Toyota Camry and was updated using select structural changes of a 2015 Toyota Camry model year. Compared to the model year 2012, a bumper extension was added to the model year 2015 Toyota Camry, which mainly affected crash performance in the IIHS small overlap impact.
In addition to the Baseline Model (BM), three non‐production Countermeasure Models (CM1, CM2, and CM3) for NHTSA’s frontal oblique impact configuration were developed.
